The first pix with Bobs white pants with the tucked in
tie-dye is the one you wanna make fun of, if anything.
But as far as the photo you refer to: Im glad the got Donna
a chair to sing from. Go diaphram, go...

Naw, that ain't wolf. That's the Travis Bean. Thanks for clearing it up though! I heard somewhere he ditched the Bean because of tuning issues... can anyone hear such issues on any early 77 or 76 shows? I've always considered that one of the dead's most in-tune periods.

There are a TON of gig pics at Dead.net, lots from specific shows so you can kinda trace that guitar history that way. the one pic for 9.3.77 is only a headshot of Jerry, no guitar visible...

Expansion and contraction of the guitar's solid aluminum neck allegedly caused tuning problems for some. A friend of mine had a Travis Bean, and it was a damn heavy guitar. But then so was the Tiger.
